I have a herniated disc at L5/S1 and one doctor is suggesting a spinal injection. They will inject a gel-like material into the L5/S1 area and spread out the spine so the disc no longer presses on the nerves. I am looking to get this done at Henry Ford Hospital
Anyone heard of this or have personal experience?
My friend’s back is really, really bad. He has a slipped disc and fractured spine. He was kept in the hospital for about a week. He wants to start Physical Therapy right away but I would think he needs more bed rest at home. What do you think?

I am planning a for a second child. Will i be able to take care of another child with herniated disc. Can the herniated disc go away comepletely ..?? Can i resume my normal activities. I do not have any pain currently , but is scared that if i start my daily activities…whether the pain would reoccur .
I was in a car accident years ago, hit buck a truck from behind and was told I have a herniated disc. I used to have severe pain in my lower back. It has decreased over the years. Now I have a numb feeling that comes and goes in my legs and feel a bit dizzy. Can this come from the herniated disc?
Ii havent been lifting anything. I noticed when i used a massager on my back the numbness got a lil bitter.

I have disc injuries from a car accident that isn’t my fault. I go for an MRI soon but my doctor sounds pretty sure that it is more than one disc issue. Pain has been awful for 6 weeks straight.
