I can feel your pain. I was suffering from Lower Back Pain, and Sciatic pain in right leg(till toe) for more than 2 years. Nothing worked for me too. Doctors advised that, surgery would be the best option. I had bulging disc in L4-L5, and disc prolapse in L5-S1 levels. And, i was unable to bend down. The Disc prolapse in L5-S1 level was compressing my right sciatic nerve.
I underwent an endoscopic surgery 1 year back. I came home 1 week after surgery. I had severe pain(which i thought to be surgical pain). Now I am able to move my limbs properly and bend down easily. But still i have pain in lower back and in right leg. I am worried. It is more than a year after surgery. But i have not recovered completely. I still have pain. I took another MRI Scan recently. Scan was clear, and there was no medical reason for the pain. But I am still sufferring from pain(intensity has reduced to a greater extent though).
I am just checking out for exercises/yoga, which can relieve me from my pain.
My advice to you is that, consult with 2-3 Surgens atleast. Choose the best one.
Back pain could also be the result of improper sitting/sleeping posture, and improper way of weighting lifts. Avoid all risks, and try to keep your spine safe.
Try doing some light exercises for spine. Dont overload it.
I pray that you should recover soon.
