It sounds like you are centralizing well. (This means less pain in your leg/buttock and more in your back). Usually this means you are close to healing. If I were treating you, I would recommend to continue on the path with the treatments you are doing.

question: i suspect that my sciatica is from a protruded disc. ive been doing prone props and some ice packs for a couple days now and i dont feel pain behind my thighs and BARELY any sensations on my upper buttock anymore. but my lower back is still kinda stiff and sometimes when i do some? bending down, it still hurts and causes me to hold onto something. should i keep doing these exercises? will the pain go away within a week or so? what else can i do to speed up healing?
