www.painreliefcorrective.com painreliefcorrective@gmail.com Do static back for 10 minutes or longer if you like. It is an easy passive exercise that even someone with severe lower back pain can do to help themselves. It will gently force a positive structural change to bring your body to a more neutral alignment. Atlanta Spinal Correction Center in Alpharetta GA. But remember, no single exercise is right for everybody. Every other video on youtube claims to have the best back pain exercise but some people’s spines are flexion intolerant or extension intolerant. That is why a thorough posture analysis is required to figure out the best exercises to implement. Also the root dysfunction causing the pain might be coming from the hips or shoulders or ankles. So be wary of anyone telling you what is the “best back pain exercise”.

@shakaama,
Try this:
Search youtube for: egoscue sitting knee pillow? squeezes
Then do every day:
1. Sitting knee pillow squeezes
2. Static back

@smartpizza3
Definitely try this one. It will help to bilaterally relax the lower back muscles. We are bilateral machines, meaning we have the same muscles on both side of the back (and entire body for that matter). Don’t be afraid of pain. It’s just the body telling you what it needs: “Hey? smartpizza3! Our right side is overworked, even things out please!”

I just started a job standing for 10 straight? hours on cement. they tried to help by putting semi cushion to stand on, but i have shooting pains from heel to lower back. the other position is walking on the hard cement all day at a brisk pace. I don’t know which would be worse, and i tried 5 different shoes, with insoles. at the end of the day, i could barely walk to the car.
What all can i do?

…………It’s because your head, shoulders and pelvis are brought into better alignment using the level floor as a template and the muscles that where not happy and? straining against what was not proper alignment now have been brought into better balance the way they were designed to function.

Here is a video example of postural alignment in its simplest form. The logic is childishly simple yet effective: The floor is straight. I lay on the floor. I am straight. Notice how much better your back feels when you? get up after doing this for 10 minutes………..
